Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The month of Ramadan is said to have many advantages compared to other months. During the month of Ramadan, Muslims are ordered to fast.
Fasting during the month of Ramadan is ordered directly by Allah SWT in the Koran Surah Al Baqarah verse 183 which reads, “O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you so that you may become pious.”
The essence of fasting is not only to endure hunger and thirst from dawn to dusk. Muslims who fast are also obliged to protect themselves from lust and anything that breaks the fast.
When it was time for the Maghrib call to prayer, the Prophet Muhammad SAW encouraged his people to hasten breaking the fast.
The following is the schedule for breaking the fast today, Friday 22 March 2024 (11 Ramadhan 2024), for the Jakarta area and surrounding areas:
- Dawn 04.42
- Zuhr 12.03
- Asr 15.14
- Maghrib 18.06
- Isha 19.14
