Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The whereabouts of Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, is still a mystery. In the midst of rumors and puzzles about the princess's whereabouts, a number of reports said that Kate's medical records had allegedly been leaked.
As is known, before 'disappearing' from the public eye, Kensington Palace announced in January that Kate would undergo stomach surgery and would be hospitalized for 10 to 14 days. However, it is not known exactly what type of operation Prince William's wife underwent.
Recently, the hospital where Kate Middleton was treated, The London Clinic, launched an investigation into allegations that staff attempted to access Kate Middleton's personal medical records. At least one staff member was reportedly caught trying to access the medical records of the Princess of Wales' wife.
On Thursday (21/3/2024), a report from an official investigation revealed that medical records at The London Clinic were “easily accessible” to doctors and nurses. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) report revealed that although patient records were “stored securely” in hospitals, medical workers had access to them very easily.
The alleged leak of Kate Middleton's medical records caused a stir throughout the hospital in Marylebone, Central London. Moreover, The London Clinic has had a reputation for treating members of the royal family, former presidents, prime ministers and celebrities “in secret”.
“This is a major security breach and is very detrimental to the hospital, considering its untarnished reputation for treating members of the Royal Family,” said an unidentified internal source, quoted Friday (22/3/2024).
“The hospital leadership immediately contacted Kensington Palace after this incident was brought to their attention. The leadership assured the palace that there would be a thorough investigation,” continued the source.
