Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The development of technology makes all activities easier, including the use of population identity or Population Identity Card (KTP). Currently, people can use Digital Population Identity (IKD) or Digital KTP.
Unfortunately, there are still many Indonesians who cannot access Digital Population Identity (IKD) or Digital KTP. In fact, there are many benefits, advantages, and advantages of digital KTP.
Some of the people will be made easier, including simpler use, faster production, no need to print using blanks, no need to store in a wallet, KTP can simply be stored in a cellphone or smartphone.
Reportedly, the Digital ID card will be fully accessible in September. This was revealed by the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Azwar Anas.
“Hopefully, all of these platforms (INA Digital) will be completed by the end of September,” said Azwar Anas at the Presidential Palace, quoted Saturday (15/6).
Azwar also explained that currently there are 9 million Indonesians who have IKD, but that number is still far from what is expected. If we look at the data from the Directorate General of Dukcapil, Ministry of Home Affairs, as of semester I 2023, the population of Indonesia is 279,118,866. Thus, there are still around 270 million people in this country who do not have IKD.
“Why? To get a digital identity card now you still have to go to the sub-district office, our target in the future is once our digital ID is integrated, just use face recognition and we will get the IKD,” he said.
IKD or digital KTP is part of Govtech Indonesia which is managed by Perum Peruri.
There are nine priority services that will be available on the application, namely health, education, social assistance, digital identity based on population data, one Indonesian data service, financial transactions, service portal integration, state apparatus services, and online driving licenses.
The service was originally scheduled to be launched in May or June. However, Azwar said the launch of GovTech Indonesia will be adjusted further.
“Previously, it was adjusted this month. But the president's hope is not only the launch but also several integrations of the services that have been running, our target is to cut several applications and with this govtech there are several accelerations, especially the integration of IKD and digital identity as SSO (single sign on), the SSO will use INA Pass. The target is in 7 Ministries and Institutions plus BPJS and also employment will be integrated with one national portal following the integration,” said Azwar.
