Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, recently underwent stomach surgery. An official statement released by Kensington Palace implied that her condition was serious enough that Kate had to undergo treatment for up to two weeks in hospital and it was estimated that her recovery could take up to three months.
“Based on current medical advice, he is unlikely to be able to undertake public duties until after Easter,” an official statement said.
The Palace did not reveal further details regarding the condition of the British Royal daughter-in-law, but they said that Kate's illness was not related to cancer.
In an announcement reporting Kate's condition, Kensington Palace said that the Princess wanted to apologize for being forced to postpone her schedule.
While Kate undergoes treatment and recovery, Prince William will not carry out any official duties.
Kate herself underwent stomach surgery last Tuesday, according to reports BBC. Currently, he is recovering at the London Clinic, which is claimed to be the largest independent private hospital in England.
After being released from hospital, the princess is expected to recover at her home in Windsor, where she and Prince William live with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
