Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) conducted an inspection of RSUD dr. Pane Group, Tebing Tinggi, North Sumatra, Wednesday (7/2/2024). He saw that the hospital was busy with patients.
“Yes, a lot of people are coming here at the Dr. Kumpulan Pane Regional Hospital from the district around Tebing Tinggi City, so I see that the number of patients is also quite large,” said Jokowi when giving a press statement.
Even though he said the hospital only had 202 beds. So hospital inpatient capacity needs to be increased.
For this matter, Jokowi admitted that he had coordinated with the Governor and Mayor of North Sumatra to enlarge the hospital. Later development will be taken over by the central government.
“Earlier I asked the Mayor and the Governor whether there was land to build on the addition, so that the capacity could be greater, there is. I said earlier that a proposal was made for it to be built later by the central government. But this old building also needs to be completely rehabilitated, OK?” Jokowi said.
According to Jokowi, he chose Dr. Pane's collection was part of his working visit to the area. Apart from that, the location point adjacent to the new toll road was inaugurated.
“It's like I always visit other cities and districts wanting to check services in the health sector, check hospital facilities, check the condition of hospital buildings, check patient registration, check how fast BPJS services are, I think that's what I always see, he said
