Bond
Based on Article paragraph (2) PP No. 91 of 2021, the income tax rate for bond interest is 10% of the income tax base.
The basis for taxation comes from interest from bonds with coupons, discounts from bonds with coupons, and discounts from bonds without interest.
The parties authorized to withhold income tax on bond interest are the bond issuer/custodian, securities company, dealers,banks, pension funds, or mutual funds, and custodians/sub register.
Deposit

Taxes related to deposits are regulated by Minister of Finance Regulation Number 212/PMK.03/2018 concerning Income Tax Deductions on Deposit and Savings Interest and Bank Indonesia Certificate Discounts, on returns in the form of interest obtained from deposits are subject to final Income Tax (PPh) at a rate of 20% of the interest earned.
